At the tender age of 3-4 months old, I boarded my first flight to Freetown, Sierra Leone. My mom relocated to Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire to pursue her career ambitions but baptizing her children in Sierra Leone, surrounded by family and friends was a desire of her heart.
Over the course of my childhood, recurring trips to Freetown, London and Brazzaville (once) to visit family became the norm.
P.S.: I was born in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire to parents from Sierra Leone (Mother) and Congo Brazzaville (Father).
For as long as I can remember, travel has been my way of expanding my horizons, educating myself beyond what I already know and of course discovering the world. What began as a simple girls’ trip to Miami in 2008 slowly evolved into something deeper that was unseen, unknown at the time — an undeniable passion for exploring new cultures, connecting with people, and creating meaningful experiences.

Over the years, as I traveled to 29 countries across Africa, Asia, The Caribbean, Middle East and Europe, I found myself naturally stepping into the role of the “planner — the one in charge,” the one who researched, curated, and crafted unforgettable itineraries for friends, colleagues, and small groups. Once budget thresholds were approved, I was given full permission to proceed with booking accommodations, activities and logistical arrangements I deemed fit for the trip.
I didn’t just enjoy it — I thrived in it.

But the real spark that eventually led to Kizi Travel Experiences was the realization that travel is more than flights and hotels. It’s about the excitement of discovering a hidden gem, immersing yourself into the culture, the joy of sharing a moment you’ll talk about for years, and the peace that comes from knowing everything has been thoughtfully taken care of.
I wanted to create a space where luxury, culture, connection, and comfort come together effortlessly. A space where travelers — especially women — feel empowered, supported, and inspired to see the world in ways they may not have imagined and more importantly, experience travel like never before.
My journey didn’t start in the travel industry. Before Kizi Travel Experiences, I built a career in Procurement and Supply Chain Management and spent almost 2 decades working in educational institutions, global health and humanitarian aid—the latter that took me to Haiti (for a one-year post in Port-au-Prince) and then across continents to countries like Rwanda, Nigeria, Ethiopia and Tanzania (just to name a few). These journeys, though work-related, helped shape my understanding of people, culture, and meaningful connection.

And long before that, I embarked on my first entrepreneurial journey in 2015: I launched a very successful private chef service that took me across U.S. state lines, catering intimate experiences that brought people together around food.
These two passions — food and global connection — naturally wove themselves into the kind of travel curation I wanted to build. Travel isn’t just about where you go, it’s also about how you experience each moment, each taste, each cultural encounter.
That’s the heart of every itinerary I create.

By 2023, the desire to turn this passion into something bigger became impossible to ignore, while I was on vacation in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.
Two years later, Kizi Travel Experiences was born — a boutique travel design agency for curious, culturally driven travelers seeking curated and unforgettable journeys.
At Kizi Travels Experiences, my mission is simple:
Design trips that honor culture, elevate comfort, and leave travelers feeling enriched, renewed, and transformed.

Starting this agency wasn’t a business decision — it was a calling. A way to share the world, honor my heritage, and create experiences that stay with you long after the passport stamps fade.
If you’re ready to explore differently, travel deeper, and celebrate life through meaningful journeys, Kizi Travel Experiences is here to ensure your travels are EFFORTLESS.
