Hello, I’m Kizi N’Kodia, Founder and Lead Travel Advisor of Kizi Travel Experiences.
If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I’ve always been curious about the world, its communities and the stories that connect us.
I was born and raised in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, with family roots in Sierra Leone and Congo-Brazzaville. Growing up surrounded by different cultures and traditions shaped my appreciation for heritage, community, and the beauty of our differences. Those early influences have stayed with me, no matter where life has taken me.
And life has taken me to some incredible places.
It’s the people I’ve met, the meals I’ve shared, the stories I’ve heard, and those unexpected moments that remind me why I love exploring the world.
TRAVEL HAS ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT CONNECTION.
Before Kizi Travel Experiences (KTE) came to life, I spent over 2 decades building my career in global health as a procurement and supply chain management professional. My work took me across the African continent, where I had the opportunity to collaborate with people from different backgrounds, navigate complex logistics, and experience places in ways that went far beyond the typical visitor’s perspective.
Without realizing it at the time, I was developing many of the skills I would eventually bring into my travel business: thoughtful planning, problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to bring different moving pieces together effortlessly.
There’s also another side of my story that I hold particularly close to my heart: my love for food.
In 2015, I started a private chef service inspired by my African heritage. I traveled across U.S. state lines creating intimate dining experiences, sharing familiar flavors, and introducing people to dishes and traditions that meant something to me.
I’ve always believed that some of the best connections happen around a table. A shared meal can tell you so much about a place, its people, and its history. It’s why culinary experiences remain such an important part of how I explore destinations and design journeys for my clients.
Eventually, my love for travel, culture, hospitality, and bringing people together found a new home in Kizi Travel Experiences.
In 2025, I joined FORA TRAVEL as a Travel Advisor and the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA), but beyond the professional credentials, what matters most to me is the trust my clients place in me.
I don’t take lightly the opportunity to help someone celebrate a milestone, discover a destination they’ve dreamed about, reconnect with their roots, or simply take a much-needed break from everyday life.
I love learning what excites my clients, what they’re curious about, and what they hope to experience. Sometimes it’s a beautiful hotel overlooking the ocean. Other times, it’s a cooking class with a local family, an afternoon wandering through a market, or a cultural experience that stays with them long after they’ve returned home or a little bit of everything.
One of the most personal expressions of this philosophy is The Reset Experience, my signature group journey in Bali.
What began as a vision to bring women together in a beautiful setting has become something much more meaningful. Through thoughtfully curated experiences, shared meals, cultural discovery, and moments of rest, I’ve had the privilege of watching women arrive as strangers and leave with genuine connections.
Creating those moments, and seeing how deeply they resonate, has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
I believe luxury and authenticity can coexist beautifully. You can appreciate an exceptional hotel, impeccable service, and the finer details of travel while still immersing yourself in the culture, traditions, and everyday rhythms of a destination.
That’s the balance I strive to create.
